Activision <3 Blizzard
The largest merger in gameing history (?) is official! According to a post in a Washington Time blog the merger is about to go through since the major part of Activisions shareholders voted to approve the merger.
Electronic Arts (EA) have long been the giant in the playground but with the merger of Activision and Blizzard (Vivendo Games) we now have two major actors in the field.
With E3 coming up it will be interesting to see if they have any plans to announce what we can expect from them in the future.
Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
I just bought the latest installment of Guitar Hero. After playing Legends of Rock, which in my view was the highpoint so far, this feels like kind of a step backwards. If you’re totally in to Aerosmith it’s awesome I guess but if you just like their major hits some of the songs feel a bit boring. The idea of supporting bands who play the first two songs is a good one that I hope they keep if they do other band-specific expansions (give Metallica!!). Overall a good game, nothing special though.
For those who never played Guitar Hero, you must try it! I thought it looked very silly when I first watched someone play and I thought I could never like it. Once I tried it (along at home!) it really changed my mind. It’s like singstar only cool, you can play an air guitar and be a hero!
